The Knights of Columbus San Jose Chapter
is
named after the Greater San Jose area that it
serves.
The Chapter covers all the Councils, 4th Degree
Assemblies and Squires in the Diocese of San Jose.
The
Chapter
serves as a
medium
for Councils and Assemblies to discuss their various
programs. It offers a source of support to member
Councils and Assemblies
in Districts number 25, 26, 27 and 28;
it is a place to coordinate the various
exemplifications and events and it serves as a forum
for District Deputies, Grand Knights and Faithful
Navigators to discuss their particular needs and
accomplishments.
The impetus for
forming the San Jose Chapter came with the formation
of a new San Jose Diocese which was formally part of
the Archdiocese of San Francisco. The precedent had
already been set when the Oakland Diocese split off
from the Archdiocese and Oakland Diocese Chapter was
formed to include councils in the new diocese.

The San Jose
Chapter works closely with the
the four District Deputies in the Diocese of San
Jose and their councils in San Jose California, providing
support and funds for various projects, while member
councils are active in their perspective parishes.
The current Chapter
President for the 2009-2010 Columbian Year is
John Pozniak,
PGK. The president's contact
information is on the
officers webpage.
